Anne Hathaway wore Balmain and Christain Louboutin's (very prive) on the red carpet. She looks perfect. I was at Fred Segal last week and I got to see a Balmain piece in person and the amount of craftsmanship that goes into each piece is astounding. Everything about Balmain represent French Fashion, we loovvvvveee it.

As many of you have probably heard some designers like Betsey Johnson and Vera Wang aren't in the New York show line up for fashion week. Fear not, Oscar de la Renta will present TWO shows for autumn/winter 2009-10 at New York Fashion week next month-one to the press and one to buyers. While some businesses are hurting from the economy Oscar de la Renta is still going strong and I am not surprised because his collections are to die for!!

Olsen Twins shoe line

As some of you may have already known, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are teaming up with Steve Madden to design a line of shoes. The Elizabeth and James branded shoes will be available in stores by mid-2009, the company said. The sisters have the creative direction of the footwear line and it will be exclusively licensed to Steve Madden. The brand will feature contemporary footwear for "the sophisticated and chic woman," officials said. I can not wait to see what they come up with, I am sure they are going to be amazing!!!

Louis Vuitton's new arrival

The new Stephen Sprouse collection will be hitting stores on January 15. Marc Jacobs came up with the idea to "deface" Vuitton's iconic monogram, and this year they are continuing with his concept. Unfortunately Stephen Sprouse, the artist, died in 2004 after battling lung cancer."I tried to use the things in Stephen's vocabulary, and give the collection the shape, silhouette and styling that Stephen would have done when he was at the top of his game," Jacobs explains. "It really is a complete homage, and a complete combination of what is Louis Vuitton, and what is this legendary icon, and then what are the icons and the lasting aesthetics that Stephen left in the fashion world."
