The New Guy at Nina

Peter Copping is the new artistic director at Nina Ricci. He started at the brand on Monday and is already hard at work on a capsule resort collection, which is expected to be unveiled in late June. It sounds like his first Nina Ricci runway show won't be in the Fall, but rather in March 2010 — the company wants to give him time to settle in (and hopefully get it right, considering that he's the third designer they've had within a span of three years — Theyskens started in 2006, and Lars Nilsson was in place before that).

I'm sad to see Theyskens go :/

Mischa, part 2.

Wearing a Matthew Williamson for H&M dress (thank you to our lovely reader for pointing that out earlier) and another pair of Alexander McQueen heels. I actually think this dress looks the best on her.

Big news with M Missoni

M Missoni, Missoni's contemporary brand, plans to open M Missoni stores worldwide. They also are adding accessories to its mix this Summer and a new denim collection for Spring 2010. The big news is that Angela Missoni told the Telegraph " [I] would like to do something with H&M because I think it is a very powerway to reach younger girls now." Now that would be an amazinggg collaboration!

Inspiration.

Rachel Bilson InStyle column

Rachel Bilson is doing her own column for InStyle! She will write a page or two in the magazine discussing her favorite trends, what she wants to buy for the month, and readers' style questions. Rachel tells WWD, “I am not planning on quitting my day job to be a full-time fashion editor, although I am really enjoying it and it intrigues me very much.” We love Rachel Bilson and can't wait to see what tips she comes up with, guess I will have to get a subscription to InStyle!

LC designing for Kohl's

Well this is certainly a downgrade for the Hills star, she is launching a brand-new apparel line for Kohl's department stores. But then again Vera Wang did it so it might not be so bad after all. "It is a California chic line," said Lauren Conrad to US magazine. Her line will be available in October and prices will range from $20-$60.

knock it off.

Left: Maison Martin Margiela handbag $995 Right: Alice and Olivia for Pay-less $36

Margiela, you've been knocked off. It's a bummer. that Alice and Olivia can't come up with their own designs. (I know its not the exact same, but its pretty friggin close.)

Dsquared2 radio show

Dean and Dan Caten, brothers behind the brand Dsquared2, are launching their own radio show starting May 5th on Sirius satellite radio's BPM. They will play all their favorite music, including their runway soundtracks. They'll have interviews with some of their closest friends-actresses, musicians, to talk about fashion. Will you be listening in???

DecadesTwo NYC outpost

The famous Los Angeles vintage store DecadesTwo is opening a New York City outpost next month. It is a small space above Soho's Kiki de Montparnasse and they have collected 2000 vintage pieces already! The store will be there from May 14th to 17th, but for the first few days it is only open to their already loyal clients and invited guests. The public may shop on the last day, but by then I'm sure all the good stuff will already be taken! Rachel Zoe donated a lot of her closet and portion of the profits will help a Detroit based charity. Lucky New Yorkers, I wish I could go!!!
