Yes, Alexander Wang has already been knocked off.... by Forever 21. The "Alexis boot" is a favorite of many recessionistas and now you can get it at Forever for only $34.80. The Marni knock-off is one thing, but this rip of the open toe boot is horrible. The boots aren't even in stores yet!!! I won't support it, but here's the link to purchase your own haha

Vivienne Westwood announced that the star of her latest campaign, Pamela Anderson, will be taking a turn on the designer's autumn/winter 2009-10 catwalk in Paris next Friday. This is already creating a lot of buzz so looks like Vivienne is getting the attention she was hoping for!

Stella collaborates with Net-a-porter!

Some combinations just make sense, this time one of my favorite designers is teaming up with one of my favorite online retailers and I couldn’t be happier. WWD reports today that Stella McCartney has designed a special collection for Net-a-Porter.com.The collection is made up of 17 pieces of clothing with two shoes and handbags and a sundress for girls. Pieces include a trench, suit, denim, and an organic T-shirt will also a print designed by artist Peter Blake. Expect for it to hit the web some time in May.

Leanne Marshall

It is so sad to me that the Project Runway winners of the past have not succeeded fully in their career. It kind of reminds me of the curse of American Idol (what happens to the winner?!) Anyway, Leanne Marshall was one of my favorite contestents from last season and I recently saw some of her pieces she showed at fashion week. She pulled it together in just 3 weeks! With the help of only 2 interns Leanne produced a 9 pieces that were inspired by her move from Portland to New York. I hope she continues to design because I genuinely love her stuff.

Mr. Christian Louboutin was at South Coast Plaza today to sign shoes and help promote the Marie Antoinette inspired shoe. Before he decided to meet all of his fans, Mr. Louboutin had himself a little meal at MY FAVORITE restaurant in the entire world, Marche Monderne. Unknowingly, my mom and I decided to have lunch at Marche as well. The picture is horrible, but you can get a bit of a side profile ahha!

Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano is pairing up with Payless for a line of shoes and accessories. The collection is inspired by Egyptian artifacts and will include clutches, totes, and heels. Prices will range from $25-$45. He debuted some of the shoes during his show at fashion week. Thoughts???

Matthew Williamson doubles up!

As we already told you Matthew William is coming to H&M on April 23. It was just announced that he is doing a 2 part collection for the store. On April 23 he will launch a women's collection of 20 pieces to select stores. Then in mid May, a men's and women's collection including swimwear and accessories will be released to all H&M stores This collection is going to sell out fast so save the date!!!

the NEW Project Runway?

Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, designer Isaac Mizrahi and Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion Fern Mallis will serve as justdges and host Bravo’s upcoming design show, The Fashion Show.

The Project Runway-replacement follows professional designers as they compete for a chance to have their designs sold by a major retail outlet. The designers will face off in challenges and have their fate determined not only by the judges, but also by a studio audience.
