Tom Ford is scheduled to open his first west coast boutique on Rodeo Dr. Right accross the street from Gucci (his former employer). The boutique is said to be opening sometime in 2009 and will be occupying the space that is currently Bernini (between the Luxe hotel and Bally). It's a total slap in the face to Gucci after his highly dramatic exit from Creative Director in 2004.
